So before I write anything about my Road Id, I’ve just got to say that the road id product line is a great concept. As a cyclist that logs about 300 miles a month, I spend a good chunk of time on my bike, and like any cyclist I’m faced with the constant danger that is clueless drivers. Although my road id doesn’t throw a
barrier between and oncoming cars, it does give my family and me peace of mind.
When I went to order my road id, I braced myself, expecting the ordering process to be long and arduous. I was pleasantly surprised by the simplicity of the ordering process and completed my order within 15 minutes. The website layout was very intuitive and pretty much fool proof, with a simple sizing system as well a detailed picture of your product as you built it.
I decided to go with regular shipping and my road id came within 5 days, exactly when road id promised me I would receive it. My road id came in a nice square tin box (no sarcasm), which actually made me feel like I was opening an expensive item, not a $15 rubber bracelet. Happy to finally have my order, I tore open the box to find a bracelet about an inch diameter. According to the road id size chart I was a small, but this bracelet looked like it would fit a small child’s wrist. Disappointed, I started to fill out the return form (which was again very straight forward), but then decided to try the bracelet one more time, and found that I could get the bracelet on if I stretched it out to twice its original size.

I now wear my bracelet everyday, as it is about the same size as a livestrong and very comfortable. It has held up well, except for a small scratch on the stainless steel plate (I dragged my bracelet on pavers when I was pulling myself out of a pool) Eventually I’m sure that the rubber band will snap, but replacement bands are only $5 and the stainless steel plate is easily transferable.Wow Factor- Incredible product idea, sensible design that is economical yet well made.
Buyer Beware- When using the sizing chart, keep in mind that the sizing method isn’t very clear… if the dollar bill just fits around your wrist then the bracelet will be a little tight.
Final Verdict- Great product, especially in the road id slim, as it can be worn day in and day out
Recommended Uses- Cycling, running, swimming, and anything else that puts you at the mercy of drivers.
Rating - 9.8/10 (sizing isn’t clear)
