Their Century Riding Cream is made from (and smells like) botanicals.With an ingredient list composed of Shea Butter, Olive, Sweet Almond, Wintergreen, and various other fruits and oils, I was interested in how it would stack up against a lab synthesized product.

The truth is, I performed better than an artificial cream but you did have to put up with the smell. It doesn’t smell bad, it just has a very strong botanical aroma. I couldn’t smell it while I was riding but those riding behind me on a head-wind day did notice. A not so nice smell was a small price to pay for a superior natural product that stayed on for hours. Even on sweltering hot august rides, I had no soreness or irritation. The ingredient list also includes anti-fungal and anti-microbial Ozone, so no infections!
